Dogwoof are celebrating an unprecedented FIVE Oscar® nominations ahead of this year’s 91st Academy Awards ceremony on 24 February.
After receiving BAFTA nominations in the Documentary category, the nail-biting thriller Free Solo (directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin) and the uplifting RBG (directed by Betsy West & Julie Cohen) received Oscar nominations for Documentary Feature, as well as a Best Original Song nomination for RBG. In addition, Bing Lui’s Minding the Gap and the powerful Of Fathers and Sons (directed by Talal Derki) received Documentary Feature nods.
They join Hale County This Morning, This Evening (directed by RaMell Ross) in this year’s race. The nominations were announced on Wednesday morning by Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross. A huge congratulations to the filmmakers and their teams!
