Take a sneak peek at the Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love Q&A screening at previews nationwide on 23 July.
The cinema erupted in applause as renowned musician and presenter Jools Holland welcomed director Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love Nick Broomfield to the stage. Reflecting on his relationship with the singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen and his muse Marianne Ihlen, Nick said, “they had been such an influence on me I felt like I needed to return to that period”.
Following them from their fateful meeting on the idyllic Greek island Hydra to the love affair that inspired Leonard Cohen’s hit songs, Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love is the beautiful story of a romance more than 50 years in the making.
