We're rounding off a terrific 2017 with our favourite high points of the year. See what the team have had to say below.
ANNA - All of it!
"My highlight is seeing the team transform into the most amazing, high performing team Dogwoof has ever had. Our heads of departments, Oli and Ana V. have done an outstanding job at managing their teams, and building an open, fun and hard-working culture. I am the proudest I've ever been of the Dogwoof team."
Ana - Stuck in the snow at Sundance
"I enjoyed being seriously stuck in the snow in Park City after the screening of City of Ghosts at The Egyptian Theatre at Sundance Film Festival."
Oli – The Dancer Premiere
"Everything about the Dancer premiere, a truly unforgettable night."
Dan - DocPoint 2017, Helsinki
"My highlight of the year was a first trip to Helsinki's DocPoint Documentary Film Festival. I was lucky enough to take part in a discussion/presentation on the state of digital distribution in Europe and beyond, followed by a sauna party and a dip in the freezing Baltic Sea!"
Luke – This is Congo at Venice
"My highlight was having This is Congo make its World Premiere at Venice Film Festival. It was the first time a Dogwoof Sales title has been selected at the festival!"
Gemma - Team Workshop
"Doing a workshop up in Newcastle at the Beacon Hill Arts Centre - talking all things distribution from sales, festivals and artwork creation to their members. A great day spent up North with fellow Dogwoofers."
Marcel - The Griersons
"I enjoyed getting on stage to accept the Best Single Documentary - International award for Machines at this year's Grierson Awards on behalf of director Rahul Jain."
Lucie - THREE OF MY FAVOURITES
"Dorottya winning Screen Rising Star, the Mountain sold out IMAX premiere with Jen Peedom and Robert Macfarlane, and the Dogwoof posters exhibition at the Leeds International Festival."
Aiping - Whitney 'Can I Be Me' Live Premiere
"I picked up my old passion to take photos for the Whitney 'Can I Be Me' premiere like a manic during Sheffield Doc Fest."
Konstantinos - IDFA
"Visiting IDFA was definitely my highlight of the year. Seeing the warm reception our films like The Deminer and The Work got at a freezing Amsterdam was amazing!"
Dorottya - Becoming Screen Award's Rising Star
"Winning the Screen Awards for Rising Star is definitely my highlight of the year. I am so grateful for this amazing industry recognition and can't wait to continue working on important and brilliant documentaries!
rupi - dina in the uk
"I loved having Dina star Dina Buno fly over. She was even more lovely in person and was a great addition to the preview Q&As."
YUNG - LASER TAG
"Thinking I would hate laser tag but actually loving laser tag and winning sharp shooter twice. Also the boiler suits were actually great and have influenced my fashion choices for the rest of the year."
