STORY 

Peter Schmeichel is a giant of football, perhaps the greatest goalkeeper of all time. In a professional career spanning 22 years, Schmeichel is the most decorated goalkeeper in Premier League history, was part of the Danish football team that won the European Championship against all odds in 1992 and captained Manchester United in the Champions League final victory that clinched the treble in 1999. Schmeichel is an incredible family story. One of great success, failure and redemption. Featuring unprecedented access to the international sporting hero, with a mix of never-before-seen personal archive footage, interviews with Peter Schmeichel, his family and key figures such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Eric Cantona and Gary Neville who have been a part of his journey both on and off the pitch.

Owen is a documentary filmmaker based in the UK. Owen's debut feature film Schmeichel, A look into the life of Peter Schmeichel, one of the world’s greatest legends in football history, and one of the most iconic goalkeepers of all time. The film is set for release in 2025.

As an editor Owen has cut critically acclaimed documentary features including I Believe in Miracles, BAFTA Cymru nominated Don't Take Me Home, The Three Kings, for Box to box films and The Greatest Game for Sylver Entertainment. He has cut episodes across three seasons of Sports Emmy winning Formula 1 docuseries Drive to Survive also for Box to box films as well as the Sports Emmy nominated Bad Sport for Raw TV & Netflix. He has recently finished work on the International Emmy winning docuseries BRAWN: The Impossible formula 1 story for Disney+ as the series lead editor.

Owen grew up in the Midlands and is an enthusiastic follower of film, music and football.
